Internships

Students can get hands-on experience in pegmatite research at the Smithsonian Institution through two internship programs.

(1) A National Museum of Natural History internship is available to students at any time of the year and allows the student to work with a Smithsonian scientist.

(2) The Research Training Program is a more structured internship where students spend 10 weeks on a small research project with the aid of a Smithsonian advisor.
